Yosemite

             YOSEMITE   (Post Dated 12/17/13)

Ansel Adams and Pop Laval were well known photographers who photographed great portraits of Yosemite National Park. Laval made most of his money by selling his portraits to companies as well as individuals who hired him to capture their contributions to the park.
Michael Frye is a well known photographer for Yosemite today, and is known for creating an App that is a guide to Yosemite, which includes how to get to certain locations in Yosemite, what those locations look like, sunrise & sunset times/full moon dates, and tips to help you capture better images of the park. The images he captures are created by focusing on the light. He also used a neutral-density filter to darken bright skies or to keep a sunlit mountain in balance with a shaded foreground.
Some photographers today might get paid to photograph Yosemite by producing a cover to Yosemite's post cards, books or posters that can be sold. If I was photographing Yosemite, I would wake up early enough to see the sunrise and shoot all the animals i saw eating to get them in a natural state. I would want to capture photographs of the Merced River, Yosemite Falls, and the Bridalveil Fall because that is where many animals might be spotted.
